“Fußball trifft Kultur” (FtK) is an education program by LitCam e.V. that gives children from under-resourced neighborhoods better chances at school and in life. At more than 20 sites across Germany, FtK combines what kids love – football – with what they urgently need – language support, learning skills and cultural experiences. In close cooperation with schools, football clubs and local partners, children are supported over the course of (at least) two school years with continuous training and mentoring.

Twice a week, the kids spend one half of the session on the pitch and the other half in the classroom: football practice to build team spirit, self-confidence and fair play – and language & learning support to strengthen reading, writing and communication skills. Excursions to museums, theatres and football stadiums open new horizons and make culture tangible.

Behind every FtK team there are stories of courage and change: children who discover the joy of reading through football challenges, shy pupils who grow into team leaders, classes that learn to value their different cultural backgrounds as a strength. Teachers report better participation and improved language skills, while the kids simply say: “FtK is the best part of my week.”

The FtK Litti Lions Collection captures these journeys. Each digital lion stands for a child whose world becomes a bit bigger – and reminds us that real impact starts on the pitch, continues in the classroom and lasts far beyond the final whistle.
